I made the mistake, a few years ago, of buying Mrs holty some pasta storage jars, not as her main present mind but it seems she has not forgotten, this year she got me 3 containers for coffee, tea and sugar.

We agreed no big presents this year, so I got:

TruBlood Calendar
TruBlood CD
Muse CD
Tetris game
Lady Gaga CD
30-Something DVD
The Tudors (season 3) DVD
PG Tips, Maltesers, Heinz Beans, Mushy Peas (from my sister)
Bottle of Vodka/Bottle of Captain Ron's Rum
Coppola Wine
2xNightgowns
House Slippers

I'm reviewing BluRay players and a surround sound system to buy myself.

Still not got a skirt though, Wendy?

Did you watch HEX?

I enjoyed the first series, but then it got lost in the second one.

I really liked season one of Hex, bunbury. I really like Jemima Roper (the lesbian ghost...can't recall her character's name) and Michael Fassbender is mighty fine to look at as Azeziel...yum! Smile

By the way, I did treat myself to a BluRay player as I couldn't afford a decent surround sound and I'd as soon have none (for now) than go cheap.

I got an unexpected cheque for $300 from my mum and bought the BluRay with that, plus I bought myself a new car battery (unexpected) and a new satellite TV box (unexpected). Those pesky elfs heard I had money and conspired that I not "waste it". Grrrr!

Can you still play all your old DVD's on a BluRay player?

I'm not up to speed on BluRay.

Yes, Jemima Roper was brilliant in that part.

The lesbian relationship seemed strangely sweet.

A mate of mine sells porn DVDs from the back of his van, once a month on a Tuesday. He's called Ray... we call him Blue Ray.

Thought you guys should know...

LOL Mangler, thanks for keeping us posted.

Bunbury, yes, you can play "regular" DVDs on a Blu Ray player. I thought it was time to switch because I noticed that the prices for the DVDs have dropped and stores are carrying more and more of them vs. the "regular" DVDs. I have many hundreds of DVDs so it will be impossible to replace them without spending thousands of dollars.
