Bolton boss Owen Coyle is ready to bid £2m for Newcastle striker Andy Carroll while Nottingham Forest's Chris Cohen is also a target.
Coyle is keen to bolster his newly inherited squad with a couple of new additions and reports claim he will test the resolve of Newcastle by making a bid for their highly-rated young striker.

Newcastle boss Chris Hughton will not want to sell considering he also feels he is a striker short but if Coyle meets his valuation then he may be forced to cash in on the player.

Meanwhile, Coyle is also keen on Cohen who has been a revelation for Forest this season and would cost in the region of £5million if he was to leave the City Ground.

Again Forest will be very reluctant to sell and are likely to rebuff all offers as they fight to win promotion to the Premier League.
