Laura White

Single ` You should have known` out today. Laura is a family friend who was voted out the X Factor this time last year. She writes songs and produces her own compositions. Went to see her early this year at the Reebok, good singer and performer plus she`s a Bolton fan. Hopefully all goes well and maybe we will have an Atherton girl number one in the charts.

It dont bother me, just the fact we have someone famous from my home town which makes a change. As for X Factor, I dont make a habit of watching it, nor would I condemn those who do. Again, Im not one of those blinkered supporters who hate Man U for hating them sake.
Josh, Adrians a Manure fan but Laura although she aint a football but fan she wore a Wanderers shirt when she went to the local Gym. Her sister Becky is more a Wanderer maybe because of the people she associates with. Bolton has had its fair share of famous folk in recent years and although Laura does say she`s from Bolton, she`s realy an Atherton girl.

Denn.....I was kidding....I grew up in Tyldesley with Adge and although I don't know his daughters....If they are anything like their dad... man u or not... they will be top girls.....!

Josh, I probably know you. I spent a lot of time in Tyldesley socialising, whilst most of them were Man U fans there was a couple devoted to the Wanderers. We drank in the Skenners, George and Queens..... My son Adam is very friendly with both Becky and Laura, dad Adrian has always been a Man U fan but his recent years have been spent with Amateur football. Now he`s like some thing on a spring since Laura has become famous.

Adrian was a top Goalie himself... he was actually on the schoolboy books of Man United..... he used to tell us He was mates with George Best who played for them at the time..... who where we to disbelieve him...lol he was brought up just behind the market in Tyldesley and I hadn't heard or seen him in over 30 yrs until I saw him on the news and in the papers when Laura was on X factor..... I nearly fell off my chair when I saw him... because apart from being A little Grey... he hasn't changed....!

Skenners and Queens..... bloody hell...... that is going back.... saying that.... I'm told that they're still there and open......! I was A Kings/Butchers man....with the odd excursion to the Union....lol
but going to an Atherton School meant my early social life revolved around Kings Head and Red Lion i with the odd tipple up at The Little Lion and The Royal up Bolton Road/Carr Bank St........

HI DENN, I remember LAURA last year, she has a really good voice and I hope she gets some success in the future.

She was on 5LIVE radio on MONDAY chatting to VICTORIA DERBYSHIRE ( another BOLTON FAN) and JOSS STONE.

JOSS was lukewarm about the song , but very complimentary about LAURA'S voice.

After that LAURA was on LOOSE WOMEN.

I didn't see that as I had to get on with the ironing.

She is switching on BOLTON'S CHRISTMAS LIGHTS on THURSDAY 3rd DECEMBER.

I did as well. I once shat on the bar...how's that for wild and crazy? To be fair I was only twelve months old at the time.

That was only the first time.

There is no excuse when you are 27.

They've preserved it behind the bar...but that's more to do with poor cleaning standards than posterity.
