Re: Joey O'Brien
I've never rated him much, however, assuming he's on relatively low wages, then I think it's a decent thing to do as Megson said it will take some pressure off the lad so he can copncentrate on getting fit.

You could at least make an effort Tim.
What's wrong with you?

I think it is a nice gesture from the club; however, I voted no. I didn't rate him prior to his injuries.
While they are at it, WHEN will they offload Vaz Te?

They've just given Basham a new 2-year deal... must be because these lads are cheap! Expect Vaz to stay...

Also there are new rules coming in which mandate a certain number of home grown players in your squad.

Good point, Tim. I'd forgotten about that. Takes effect for next season, doesn't it?

Yep so really we had to keep him even if he is not up to it, I think he has shown glimpses of being a good player but he seems to be rather injury prone, we will see,

Re: Joey O'Brien
He was in grave danger of never playing football again a couple of seasons ago. He got himself thisclose to fitness and broke down, and then it happened again.
I'd think he's not had a run of games in over 2 years.

Re: Joey O'Brien
The trouble comes with the amount of time he has been away from the game.
The Premiership is getting quicker and tougher every year, how far off the game will this leave Joey?
