I totally disagree. It's not the winning, it's the manner of the game we set out to play, it's the way we approach it. Not the way it pans out in the end. We were embarrassed against stoke, we didnt suddenly all feel it was ok because we came out with a point, we actually tried harder against utd and liverpool and lost, no points, but we all felt better about the game, didn't hear any booing then!
It's not winning every week that will satisfy the fans.

If we played like the first 45 mins of the stoke match every week but popped a couple of penalties in to get points and wins, i dont think the atmos would be much better. we would all fee cheated on behalf of football in general.

Ultimately, we are football fans. football is what we want to see.

I said as much in a thread the other day. The club would be daft to get rid before the next few games this month... we've got some we should (have to!) win, and if we pick up a few wins from them we'll shoot clear of trouble.

Stop taking his quotes out of context... he didn't say that he thought it'd gone wrong, he was actually saying that it's not quite as simple as that, and that he has to take a view of the situation and weigh up several factors before making any decisions.

i dont know what you mean -

i thought he was saying, if i made the wrong call ill hold my hands up, im not going to support the decision if it was the wrong one but lets see how it goes, however, in the end i will have to consider what is going on and if we are going in the right direction.

Why does he get another 5 games? we need results now, against the teams we are supposed to beat. Based on results and performances to date PG is deluding himself if he thinks Megson is going to get it right at this late stage.

As with Jayjay, I understood Gartside to be saying he's not too big to hold his hands up and say he made a mistake, when results and other factors are taken into consideration.

End of December might be too many losses to get a grip in the league. I hope Gartside's thought about that.

We have very winnable games; however, I don't trust us to have the ability or manager to pull it off since we've already lost a number of very winnable games.

NAIL AND ON HEAD COME TO MIND HERE - it is so true. We are not after wins win win. We just want to see some real football. We could be second from bottom but playing great football, we would generally all be a lot happier. We want to see our team ompete, not cower.

It is insane to give him five more games, he will have taken us down by then and ruined any chance a new manager had to bring in new players, we should get Curbishly in now. Everyone sing Davies out, that should get Gartside and Megson sacked.
