Robinson or Samuel
Tough?
It looks like it after the City match but based on what we know Samuel is still the right man for me, maybe keep him on his toes with Robinson pushing him but for the most part Samuel is ok. Robinson looked ok a lot of the time yesterday but still showed signs of the mistakes he will probably be making the rest of the time.
What do you reckon?

Re: Robinson or Samuel
Samuel has played terribly recently. Robinson came in and did very well against very good opposition and so he's probably earned himself another chance for tomorrow.

Re: Robinson or Samuel
So based on one performance you prefer Robinson to Samuel Breeze ? I remember the performances he put in during the start of the season, and would take Samuel every time.

Re: Robinson or Samuel
If you can change your mind so quick based on one performance of Robinson against our proven full back Samuel who has played better than megson has managed - why are you always still backing Megson up? why dont you turn on him so fast?
Re: Robinson or Samuel
Whoa, calm down ladies...
Let me put this accurately...Samuel has been fucking terrible for some long time. His defending has been so bad that Megson told him off for not clearing the ball properly against Wolves...a clearance that led to their first goal. At half time he told him so and Samuel denied being shit until he was proven to be shit by the use of a special DVD entitled 'Why Samuel has been playing shit'.
Against City Paul Robinson played well.
Now put those two pieces together: Samuel playing shit and having a blazing row with the manager and Paul Robinson playing well. As little as Robinson has done to claim his place, Samuel has done ten times more to prove that he himself should be dropped.
We need fighters not quitters. Robinson, for all his obvious faults, is a fighter; Samuel for all his good points is clearly not up to the battle.
And relax...

Not a big fan of Robinsons, but I thought he did very little wrong against Man City, glad he got the decision over that cheating runt Bellamy. I'd give him another run out against West Ham tomorrow.

Re: Robinson or Samuel
Sorry Breeze I for one don't buy your argument. I think ginger fool has been itching to get Robinson back into the team. I believe he has his favourites and will play them at all costs, just look at Taylor for instance. What has he done lately? As for having bottle, as I mentioned earlier, kudos to Samuel for having the courage to take on the manager. I would bet dollars to donuts that Robinson didn't chirp up !!
The quicker we are rid of ginger fool the better, the guy is spineless and hasn't got a clue what he's doing and will take us down.

Re: Robinson or Samuel
When players refuse to take criticism they are past the point of learning, I think gary megson has had enough time and money and will pay the price,Unless we go on a 4 or 5 game winning run.
If our manager was the worlds best, J L S would still be in the wrong.
But i still think he is better than robinson........

Re: Robinson or Samuel
Pete, if Zat Knight was dropped for playing badly and if Sam Ricketts was dropped for playing badly then the next victim was always going to be Samuel...he's been playing like a blind spastic. He's been an 'f' word shocking and some of his performances are part of the very reason we have been losing.
Robinson ain't great but when someone like Samuel is playing that badly there's only one decision to make and that's to make the switch. It may not pay off tonight because Robinson certainly has his faults but we can't tolerate players like Samuel having so many bad games on the spin without taking action.

Re: Robinson or Samuel
I think you will find that both Ricketts and Knight were given a lot more games than JLS before being axed. What about Matty Taylor how many lives does he get?

Re: Robinson or Samuel
Pete, Robinson had another great game last night and his determination have made a difference to the overall team spirit. He put in some excellent crosses as well. Give the guy a break.

Have to agree that Robinson, in the last two games, has deserved his start.
