Coyle back in the race! Empty Coyle back in the race!

Post by jayjay23 Thu Dec 31, 2009 3:42 pm

“Bolton are a fantastic football club. It’s a club I know well and I had 2½ wonderful years there and the fans gave me a tremendous reception when we played them, so I thank them for that,” Coyle said. “But like I’ve said before, I always concentrate on the job I have got."

Was he ever out of it?

A lot of the headlines were "coyle rules out bolton job", "coyle not interested in bolton"

but then the quote above is what they say!

to me, it says, bolton, if you come and ask me, im listening.

if he wanted not to be asked he would say, "(insert semi nice comment about bolton) but I am not interested in a job there. I am happy here and have no intention of leaving, I am not available"

He'll be angling for more money at Burnley. If he says he's completely happy, he won't have any leverage to use against his current board.

People can repeat his quotes forever but at the end of the day we'll have to wait and see.

Tim. I am far from gutted that Megson has been forced out and where you get rthe idea that he is my 'hero' is beyond me.

However, managers often use attention of other clubs to get what they want at their present club. In Brian Clough's autobiography, he said he used to do it all the time.

Coyle is being diplomatic. He may want to come to Bolton, and if he does that's great. I'm not getting my hopes up that's all until he's presented to the media by a smiling and smug Phil Gartside.

Josh I simply say what I see and there has been very little positive to see at bolton. However, unlike the megsonista's I have always believed we could do better, that we could get a good manager, that we have great fans. If Coyle is appointed you will see this as the ground will be full.
