GET OFF THE FENCE
I want you to name the man who you think will end up being our next manager.
I will start with my prediction.
PETER REID.

Gerard Houllier, not that he`s my personal choice but the fact the job may go to someone as such.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bolton made an official bid for Coyle.

Re: GET OFF THE FENCE
Tough one to call.
I can well imagine The Jeweller, although I hope I'm wrong, and as Gartside was after a thick-skinned manager when appointing Megson if he applies the same criteria this time then surely that would rule out Jewell.
Peter Reid would not surprise me either.

Re: GET OFF THE FENCE
At least he'd have a great sense of humour, what with him being a scouser and all.

Re: GET OFF THE FENCE
I have to stay on the fence because it could go any number of ways.
My wish list is still any of Hughes, Curbishley and McClaren. Since the rejection by Coyle apparently isn't a definite "no", I'll add him to my list.
I seriously doubt it will be Jewell, based on his "I'm Megson's mate" statement.
I'm afraid that after the hiring of Lee and Megson, nothing will surprise me...well, Ian Holloway would leave me a tad gobsmacked!

Don't rule out Jewell... he's a scouser. They're everybody's mate.

It's looking like Coyle but I think I prefer Curbishley...but is he interested?

Re: GET OFF THE FENCE
I don't mind really, both would be great, I suppose Curbs is the more pragmatic choice, he has after all won a number of relegation battles. I do think that Coyle would be the best reconciliation candidate, he would bring the fans back immediately. To be fair I would be happy with either, although perhaps I have a slight preference for Owen, it will just be such a relief to have a decent manager.

Re: GET OFF THE FENCE
Owen Coyle would relieve you?
I don't care too much about his activities away from the club, as long as he gets the results.
