If Bolton get Coyle they will pay Burnley over 3 million in compensation.

Burnley will then have a transfer kitty of 5 million.

Bolton have offered Coyle a kitty of 5 million to tempt him.

I would be very surprised if it was as much as three million and also if it will be upfront. Burnley won't get it for players, all their money goes to building up their infrastructure, so I would not worry too much.

the compensation clause is £1m, but Burnley want £3.5m....this is why bolton were allowed to speak to him, cause we agreed to pay the £1m... but burnley are holding out for more....!

If the clause is £1m, as his big buddy Nixon said in the Mirror article, then I do not see how they can stop us taking him for that.

Bear in mind, too, that they may need to use that money to pay another club to bring in their new manager.

It does not matter what they need, if the clause say £1m that is what it is. As I understand it it is on a sliding scale with it being £3m if they are in the top six, but due to their league position it is much lower.
