Not Happy

I'm not happy.

Owen Coyle has single-handedly disabled our right, as Bolton fans, to have a bloody good moan!!

There he was yesterday... talking intently into Gavin McCann's ear about what he wants him to do when he enters the fray, and all my body was aching to boo loudly at the substitution of Muamba for McCann... but I couldn't do it. The guy's enthusiasm is just too much, and I ended up meekly applauding that useless bastard onto the pitch.

Likewise, when Taylor missed a sitter. No not that one, the other one. I immediately put my head in my gloved hands and muffled out some expletives about how shit he is, only to look up and see Coyle applauding the effort and encouraging him to keep plugging away... and I immediately felt embarrassed and obligated to cheer the lads on. And I wasn't the only one.

It's not the Bolton I know, and it just isn't comfortable right now...

I'd poke you in your good eye, but I'd hate to think what you thought of our games listening to moans and groans all the time.

i saw that, i was in the throws of shouting taylor ur a pile of... and looked over to see coyle off the bench clapping animatedly and telling him not to worry, head up.

and although i thought taylor should have done better i was filled with a strange unkown feeling that i should be more encouraging.

but then again, when coyle has seen taylor play 15 matches poorly maybe he will give him the hook!

Megson made the team play so bad that we fans are used to reactn negatively to the mistakes of our players.
Now let's cheer em boys upp so we can up the managers ability.
He might be the one to bring the best out of McCan. I mean look @ night Ystday, if he was playn like that when megson was there, maybe we would av gotten more than 10 clean sheets in 09.
With d perfect instruction + motivation an horrible player could provide a superb teamwork perfmnce.

His enthusiasm is tremendous and it can't but have a good effect on the players, it is the polar opposite of Megson balling at them. Apparently he is like that all the time, the players are saying training is a joy.

It was good to hear the singing and cheering again; even better when the fans joined in too.

Now, if he can turn mediocre and poor into decent/good, we'll really have something to cheer about.
