what game did they go to....?

I'm amazed at some of the reports in this mornings papers......the Sunday People focused on how bad Tottenham playedand nothing to do with how Bolton didn't allow the time or room.... Sunday Mirror had us in the 'stats' as having only 38% possesion... Thr NOTW however had a good write up about Cahill & Davo for England...!

It was no better on this side of the pond. The Sunday review show showed our goals, Spurs' goals, Spurs' missed chances and Harry's post game interview where he said "...a point was fair..." but nothing from Megson as they'd then have to explain why he thought we were excellent and should have won.

Oh, and they also reminded us that Bolton are a "long ball team" and "do very well with set plays". Didn't mention Spurs scoring from them yesterday, or that we played a passing game.

I shake my head and wonder why I waste my very valuable time watching or listening to these type of shows any more. I showed know better by now.

I have to say we were a joy to watch.
Still a little bit too much long ball for me though. Especially in that wind.

much much better from the whites, a more positive outlook on the game, a better approach to our play, much better to watch and a lot more goal threat.
question is, why did it take months of megson getting boo'd to hell before he changed anything?
is he now admitting the boo boys were right? (i mean now that he thinks these performances are better)

on motd though, the interviewer said something like, it was good to see bolton play this way, people cant say we are just defensive minded long ball merchants after that display (cant remember exactly wordage)
Megson replied : well it just typifies the way we usually play, we have played that way all season people just still seem to label us a certain way"

maybe he was just 'lulling' us into a false sense of security....knowing all the time he was going to change our style and improve our performances.... just so he can say... what a massive turn around and transition he's made at the club....?
