ENGLAND MATCH PAY TO VIEW - online only? £4.99
how stupid is that,
i really hope this is not the future of football...
i think we are going to have to post a free stream on here? no?
read this from bbc...
England's World Cup qualifier in Ukraine on Saturday will be shown exclusively live to subscribers on the internet who will pay at least £4.99.
All previously broadcast England matches have been available on TV.
Kentaro - an international agency appointed by the Ukrainian Football Federation - originally sold the UK rights for the game to Setanta.
But after the pay-TV firm collapsed, digital sport specialist Perform was appointed to stream the match online.
The match will be shown on the website www.ukrainevengland.com and viewers will be able to subscribe to it using PayPal, the electronic payment service.

Re: ENGLAND MATCH PAY TO VIEW - online only? £4.99
England internationals should be free to watch for the general public.
They should really be on the BBC of ITV.
Problem came when Setanta, who had the rights for the game, went under.
Unfortunately no-one, terrestrial or satellite/cable, came in to save the game.
Perform look to have snapped it up for what may be a minimal fee, and they are trusting that people will be interested enough to sit around their pc's and laptops watching the game for a fiver.
Good luck to them, but the won't be getting any cash out of me.

bit pathetic if you ask me, i read this earlier and thought no way! thought it must be a joke!
england match only being show on the internet! sure someone will be showing it on a free stream
but who wants to pay a fiver to sit at their pc to watch it?
usually you get a few lads round and a few beers, i cant see everyone cramming into the office to watch it on a 19 inch screen (or smaller in many ppls cases)

I wonder if it will be set up with English commentators or will viewer have to listen to it in the Ukraine language?
I'd not pay either. It'd be like paying to watch United/Chelsea IMO.
