Botlon V City: BIG MATCH THREAD
OK
It's that time again.
Reebok time tomorrow.
The grey mist will lift and optimism will start to seep through our veins. Curiosity will compell us to watch the game even though we vowed not to do so. The atmosphere will build to a disappointing cresendo, the game will commence and we will anticipate eagerly for this might be the game it all turns good for us...
Then City score, and reality kicks in. You relize you were right to question Megson's team selection of 9 defenders and 1 defensive minded striker.
Well maybe.
Is the pressure so great now that he has no choice but to make some real changes in selection and in tactics for the game. Prove we have someting.
And if he does, and it works, surely it proves more that he is the wrong man for the job for he should have realised and addressed the error of his ways before. It will be proof that he has been underselling us, he has been the reson for the substandard performances so far.
And if he doesnt make the changes, then surely, he still is not the man for the task.
In my book he really can't win.
Does anyone get that point?
But which will it be?
Will he stay true to his ways or will he buckle and attempt some changes?

The game is on live here at 7a.m. and I know I'll be watching...again...and believing (again, barely) that we will win.
That hope will probably die within minutes.
Megson's mantra: DEFEND, DEFEND, DEFEND...sigh.

Finally someone who thinks llike me,
Jay jay you're right.
If Megson changes everything for the City match and it means we play a lot better then it shows just how wrong Megson's way of playing has been all this time, not that he has actually got it right.
And if he doesnt change anything and plays 451 with Davies on the right and Taylor left then he has learned nothing and also needs to be fired!

City only have one win in eight league games. That's similar to us! They're there for the taking!
