Why was Paul Jewell at the Reebok?
Jewell was at the Reebok last night to watch the match. It is believed he was already on Phil Gartside's most wanted list and the club may already have had a meeting about bringing a new man in on the morning of the Hull game.
It makes sense that Gartside would have his options carefully weighed up before dumping Megson. He has taken his time about it which suggests he didn't want to rush into anything without knowing what his options were.
The sacking of Mark Hughes may have thrown an attractive spanner in the works though as Bolton could look at making an ambitious bid for the ex City boss.

He's emerging as early favourite with bookies. I hope they are wrong.

I supposed the same could be said of Moyes.

Please , not potato face JEWELL.
I'd snap Mark HUGHES up, he did a good job at BLACKBURN.
I doubt if he will come to little old BOLTON though after tasting the high life at CITY.

Gartside is nuts if he goes for Jewell, I know Curbishly is interested, but then I had always thought the fat dwarf phil was an idiot.

Gartside said of Megson having the qualities of being thick-skinned and willing to stand up to the abuse he faced and still do a job.
I don't think PG will find the same qualities in Paul Jewell, and as such (I HOPE) he won't sign him on board. Jewell couldn't hack it at Wigan, after the honeymoon period had ended he really struggled with them when they were in trouble... indeed, he wasn't able to make any changes to their poor form and they stayed up by the skin of their teeth. If I remember rightly it was that last-day scramble, beating Sheff Utd at theirs whilst Tevez got the Hammers out of the drop at Old Trafford.
Jewell shit himself and resigned admitting that he couldn't cope with that level of pressure. For that alone I really don't want him here.

JEWELL is a POTATO-FACED loser.
In the real world he would be digging holes for drains.

Re: Why was Paul Jewell at the Reebok?
It's possible that he was playing driver to Moyes' night out on the town/drinking.
Moyes was there because they have Hull upcoming.
I've heard mention of George Burley, too.
