Why do they

insist on sending me an e-mail everytime I post ? Does that happen to everyone ? It is very frustrating.

Yep, we all get an email for every post.

The system assumes you want to 'watch' every topic that you've posted into. It's a system setting that the mods could easily remove in the ACP (Administration Control Panel).

You can stop receiving emails from each topic by clicking on 'Stop watching this topic' near the bottom-right of the screen.

I too noticed that annoying email thingy... easily sorted!

Go to Profile (up there ^^), then select Preferences, read throught the various options available and one is there where it asks if you want to receive notification blah blah blah.... tick NO.

Sorted... my invoice will emailed across shortly.

Yes, you can sort it by adjusting your preferences in your profile.

I asked the same question a few weeks ago Peter.
Surely the admin could just change the default setting to 'not' e-mail you when there is a reply.

I'd rather not have to make that extra 'click' when I post a message.

As for Manglers reply, surely you'd have to go into your profile every time you posted a reply.
If you were posting when there were several members replying on a hot topic, when that eventually happens, you could get a couple of e-mails before you know what's happening.

It annoyed me for a while as well. Apparently it's easy to change the setting in the Profile options but I chose to vent my anger in the form of an impromptu knife massacre at my local orphanage.

It didn't bother me before....... but the more post I've read about it...... the more its begining to piss me off.... infact I might throw my laptop against the wall if I keep getting them.....!

I think new laptops come with the new Windows 7 system.

Hampo, trust me... just go to the Profile link at the top of the page, in there select Preferences and the 5th question down is Always notify me of replies ...tick no and it will save it so that you don't receive another email to tell you of replies relating to your posts/threads.
