man of the match....?
Muamba was awesome today... especially the challenge he put in in the second half when they broke with 3 on 2... it seemed a certian goal...!
Cohen hat a all action packed game too......
but its Muamba for me..!

Muamba tackles well but loses the ball straight away. Another site praises Rickets, ok going forward but his defending today was shocking.

I agree with the rickets comment.....! I also think jlloyd is too laid back sometimes when a bit of urgency is needed...!

I've really warmed to Jlloyd... I thought he was really poor when he signed up, but now I'm always confident when he's on the ball... he seems to glide past people going forward and is totally comfortable with the ball at his feet. He's pretty solid defensively too.
MOM today... erm, difficult one I think as nobody stood out massively. I think Muamba's a decent enough call, as his ball winning was pretty good although Denn's right about his passing... a few times he gave it away after winning it well. Aside from that brilliant tackle on the dude who ran for ages into our box, his best tackle of the day was the one where he slid in from behind and took the ball cleanly before the bloody flagwaver signalled for a free-kick!! That was an outstanding tackle!
Cahill was solid, won most headers and tackles and kept the ball well.

Re: man of the match....?
I'm not a Muamba fan, alright Tim, but he had a very good game today. The tackle in the second half that was mentioned earlier was a game saver. I honestly thought when the player cut across him, he would end up giving a penalty away, only to have him keep on his feet and come away with the ball at this feet.
Samuel has been a great signing, in my opinion. He does what you'd expect a left back to do. Gets tackles in, gets up the line when chance comes, finds a white shirt and puts the occasssional good cross in.
Cahill is always going to put a lot of work in each game, thanks to his central defence partner. He's solid and you can understand why Capello has had him in the England squad. Maybe not this World Cup, but he will become a fixture for England I think.
Lee always seems to give us a bit of a spark and looks good with the ball at his feet. He links up very well with Cohen.
I'll agree with the call for Muamba though. Just this once.

Ricketts put in on the best attacking full back performances we've seen in years...every time he went forward there was an end product. Unfortunately his defending was poor at times and he was caught out too many times.

Re: man of the match....?
That's one major problem with defenders getting up the field, they're missing when the inevitable ball comes to their position.

Going forward, Ricketts was fantastic today and for that, he's got my MotM vote, 2nd was Muamba.
