Paul Robinson
In difficult circumstances I thought he did very well when he came on. Added a lot of bite and his distribution was excellent.

Re: Paul Robinson
Breeze do you feel the need to suck up to megson in every conceivable way possible? He was ok, no more and after his debut he would have to do a lot more to convince me he is even slightly competent.

Re: Paul Robinson
Like it or not, Tim, you will probably get you chance to view Robinson over a few games, since Samuel will be missing 3 of them.

Re: Paul Robinson
I am pretty sure he only gets a one game ban for that, I sure hope so the idea of a regular dose of Robinson is not palatable.

Re: Paul Robinson
A straight red is 3 games missed...I'm fairly sure.
2 yellows = a red = 1 game missed.

Re: Paul Robinson
No breeze you wrote something you now regret because it was stupid, don't try and make our it was a joke. You were so desperate to find a positive that you came up with that, congrats on the imagination, not sure about the judgement.

Re: Paul Robinson
I thought Robbo did fine when he came on... thought he was unlucky to get booked (I made a point of trying to enlighten the referee too) for a full bloodied challenge, which in turn tempered his early snappiness. He had a couple of times where he brought the ball forward and Gardner (just like in midweek) just stood right in front of him on the touchline... even though Robbo was waving him forward to help out by making a run.
Wendy, I'm pretty sure it's just a one-match ban, as it's his first of the season and automatic 3-match bans are for violent conduct. Unlike most other subjects I'm no authority on that though, so we'll see.

Hope you are correct Mangler. I'd prefer to have Samuel at the back.

Re: Paul Robinson
Play Ricardo Gardner at left back.
Robinson can then spend more time at bench warming duties.
As regards making progress up the line when our defence is making progress with the ball at their feet, it's not just Gardner that stands around waiting for the back pass, Taylor does it 'far' to often.
Kids do this beter than we do.

What if you manage an Under 11's team that is top of the league by 30 clear points with only one game remaining?

Re: Paul Robinson
Then you ought to bring in a couple of 16yr old ringers to shore up your position, was that not obvious bb?

I bet you wouldn't get into that position with narrow fullbacks!
