Newspapers are reporting that there was a serious flare-up between Megson and Matty Taylor in the dressing room following the Villa game. It has apparently created a rift between the manager and some of the senior players.

Oops! Could this mark the end of Megson - or the end at the club of Taylor, and maybe others? Dressing Room Bust-Up Icon_eek

If Taylor has had a difference of opinion with Megson that will see him benched for a few games then so be it.

Gardner out left, Muamba and M Davies or Basham in the middle, with the little Ting Tong out wide right... he needs to put a shift in too!

Klasnic with Davo or Scaramanger up top.

Stick 3 past Rovers and everything will start to look rosy again...

Well, if he is dropped (they'll say he's injured), we will know the bust up was fact.

Players in the past that had anything negative to say to Megson found themselves out of the team and eventually out the door permanently.

but then that applies to all managers and clubs..... and so it should.... you can't have players dictating and causing unrest in the dressing room....!

It really depends on how the senior players react, if they think Taylor was right Megson has much more of a problem, if it is just Taylor Megson will isolate him and then sell him.

Fair point I heard the groundsman was none too keen either, when Fat Phil ran it past him. Although Megson is still considering Gartside's suggestion of David Blunkett as his defensive coach, he dog would take a lesser roll in the fitness team, apparently it would be a decision people in the game would understand.

Unfortunately Blunkett's dog's role would be restricted to assisting the players in running round aimlessly chasing the ball, whilst some have suggested that this may be one area the boys need no assistance apparently Gartside says people in the game will understand.
