Todays bench: exhibit 1 for the prosecution
On the bench are Elmander £8m+, Muamba £5m, Ricketts £2.5m, Lee £2m, Knight £4.5m, do we really have the cash to have a bench we have paid £22m for, or is Megson an idiot?

Wow, we were wrong to doubt that you were a barrister with court speak like that Tim!
Case for the defence; we're 1-0 up! Suprised no fucker has mentioned that!

Josh you don't think it is an issue that Megson has wasted so much money. Yes we are winning but will it last?
It also begs the question, other than to salve Megson's ego, why did he bring Elmander back in. We will also never be successful long term with McCann in the team.

McCann instead of Muamba, that'll never work. Will it Tim?

In one game we might win with McCann but long term we will never progress. The fact is Megson promised progress this year, instead we are back with McCann and AOB and all his signings on the bench, Megson is a one trick pony and it is not even a good trick

You're right there Breeze.
After over 2 years in charge, I still haven't got a fcking clue what Megson's one trick is.
(can you have a no-trick pony?)

Here you go Breeze, sounds like our manager and team to me.
The term probably originates from the “dog and pony shows” of the early American era. A dog and pony show was a small circus with a limited number of animals and performers, and often the performances were simple or lackluster. Trick ponies and horses have a long history of being used in circus performance, but a horse that only does one trick wouldn't be very interesting or impressive to watch

Wakey, I think a "no-trick pony" is better known as a donkey.
Tim, you CAN'T have it "all ways". If he plays those expensive players you whinge that they are rubbish; if he doesn't play the expensive players you whinge they are on the bench."
Personally, I have no problem with any player playing as long as they are playing well. McCann is on our books and he's performed better than some recently.
I'd like to see Steinsson get a run of games to see if he is up for the fight.
Klasnic should get another opportunity next game, due to K. Davies getting his 5th yellow card; or will Megson opt for one (Elmander) up front?
A draw isn't much help to us right now. It'll require beating Wolves AND other results going our way to stay out of the bottom 3.
Megson out, please.

Tim, you may want to use Megson's interpretation of the game and result for your exhibit #2.
What exactly does "intergrity and honesty" mean in footballing terms?
Hard work? Don't they get paid more than enough for that to be a given, not an unusual trait?

Pete, I know what the phrase means, I just don't know what it has to do with Megson. As Wakey says, if he's a one-trick pony...what's his trick?

Re: Todays bench: exhibit 1 for the prosecution
His trick is that he has fooled so many people for so long.
But has he turned the corner?
Does he now know his best defence?
A massive point at FULHAM has given the team a springboard.
With WOLVES losing to day, he knows that MEGSON'S MARAUDERS will sweep in to MOLINEUX and fight for those points.
We all know what points mean.
This mighty man THE MEGSTER, will take us on a thrilling ride through December, that will see us surge up that table with such a force, that it will take our breath away.

In Tims defence I think he worded his post totally the wrong way. I believe he meant to infer that the players on the bench is a direct indictment of Megsons dealings in the transfer market. Still don't understand why he persists in giving Taylor the starting position.

Re: Todays bench: exhibit 1 for the prosecution
I thought it was clear but Mr Thorpe's interpretation is the correct one, he has pissed away what little money we had, players he has bought with well over half the money he has spent are now in his opinion not good enough to play. He has made no progress, he has bought three new defenders none of whom are good enough to play.
He one trick is to defend deep in numbers unsuccessfully.
