Why can I not get any of my choices of avatar to work?
Each time I try I get this message;
"A connection could not be made to the URL you gave
Click here to try again"
I'm trying to use this picture ;
http://www.motograndprix.de/images/halloffame/8.jpg
Anything you can do to sort this out??

I right clicked on the pic and looked at "properties" and I think the pic is too big to be used as an avatar.

Just did the same on my avatar and it is 100x100. Your's is much larger.

Seems I was a bit too eager in my celebration.
It seems that my avatar picture is no longer viable on this messageboard.
Does anyone know why?
I've tried lots of other ones, all are jpg files less than 150 x 200 and under 64KB, but they all appear to be the wrong sort of file for this forum.
What the holy hell do I have to do to get a picture that I want on this board?

It could be that the pic has been taken offline by the copyright owner...or, it could be that you need to put your favourite avatar pics on a site such as photobucket and let them host them.
If that doesn't help, I think you'll have to go and find yourself another pic.

I tried about 10 different pictures from different sources , Wendy. All of which met the criteria for an avatar on here. Still they were all of the wrong file type.
