I think Lee had a blinder for much of the game yesterday, he was a great outlet for us. I thought the rest of our midfield was almost invisible though. Gardner had a bit of influence when he came on but we are really missing somebody to command the game in the middle. Muamba, McCann and Choen are not good enough for that role and Taylor made a lot of cock ups last night (not just in front of goal). Lee needs a player to play with and also the strikers were way too slow in getting going, seeing the chance to move forward to recieve a through ball. It happened a number of times were Lee would pick up the ball and you could see he was ready to slot it through the gap, but instead of make a run Davies would come trundling towards him on the wing, it just looked wrong.

I wouldn't mind seeing Mark Davies have a start, maybe try Lee on the left and Davies wide right.

I think Lee is going to be a huge star. If you look at it we have the makings of a good team, Jussi, Cahill, Steinssen, Lee, Gardner, Klasnic and KD, maybe even Knight, add a couple more good players and we should make some real progress. I know it is a pipe dream but if we could get Parker we would be very good.

Scratch Gardner off that list Tim. He isn't getting younger and is injury prone. We need some quality/strength on the left wing to compliment Lee on the right.

We also need a couple fo very decent midfielders because Cohen isn't consistently decent enough and we need a creator in the mix. We also need a quality CB to play with Cahill.

It's possible that Knight suddenly got good but it is more likely just a honeymoon period and he will revert to his plodding, sleepy, unaware self in the near future.

In the summer we need to sign Klasnic (if he'll join us) and if Elmander isn't doing the job, offload him and bring in a proper strike partner to mix it up with Klasnic and Davies (who isn't getting any younger).

I hope that Al-Habsi gets a chance in goal; maybe in the FA Cup?

I don't know, Darequam. I was wondering myself if he'll do any business in the transfer window. I really hope he does because we definitely need players that can improve us.
